Major 12 types of astrology

In Indian astrology, fate or future is told in different ways. It is believed that more than 150 types of astrology are prevalent in India. Every lore claims to tell your future. It is also believed that every knowledge is capable of predicting the future, but the experts of the said knowledge are very few, while those who mislead are more. The question arises in the mind that through which science can we know our future? Presented is the information about some popular astrology sciences.

1. Horoscope Astrology :

 

This is a science based on horoscope. It has three parts – Siddhant Astrology, Samhita Astrology and Hora Shastra. According to this knowledge, the horoscope is made based on the position of the planet, star or naksjatra in the sky at the time of a person’s birth.The future of the person is predicted by studying the nine planets and 27 nakshatras based on the twelve zodiac signs. The said knowledge has been divided into many parts, but in the modern era mainly four are considered. These four are as follows – Neonatal Astrology, Katarchik Astrology, Pratighanta or Prashna Kundli and Vishwa Astrology Vidya.

2. Knowledge of Lal Kitab

 

 This is basically the knowledge of Uttaranchal, Himachal and Kashmir regions. It is considered ‘practical knowledge’ apart from the traditional theory of astrology. It is considered a very difficult study. Those who are well versed in this can solve the problem by giving solutions without looking at the horoscope. After collecting the principles of the said knowledge, a book was first published on it, which was named ‘Lal Kitab Ke Farman’. According to the belief, the said book was written in Urdu, hence confusion arose about it.3. Mathematical Astrology  This Indian science is also called numerology. Under this, the numbers of each planet, constellation, zodiac etc. are determined. Then the lucky number and destiny is calculated according to the date of birth, year etc.As per numerology science, there are a total of 9 numbers, along with two master numbers. Adding the birth date along with the year shall lead to a big total. When reduced, the numbers end up from 1 to 9, unless it is 11 or 22. From 1 to 9, each number holds its own significance and importance. Moreover, it reveals certain traits about the person. 4. Nandi Nadi Astrology : This is basically a science prevalent in South India in which the future is known through palm leaves. The originator of this knowledge is Lord Shankar’s Gana Nandi, that is why it is called Nandi Nadi Astrology.5. Panch Pakshi Siddhant  This is also prevalent in South India. Under this astrological theory, time is divided into five parts and each part is named after a particular bird. According to this principle, when any work is done, the result will be according to the position of the bird at that time. The names of the five birds that come under the Panch Pakshi Siddhant are vulture, owl, crow, cock and peacock. On the basis of your ascendant, constellation and place of birth, your bird is determined and your future is told.

6. Palmistry

 

Apart from the zigzag and straight lines of the hands, the past and future of the person is told by studying the chakras, islands, crosses etc. of the hands. This is a very ancient knowledge and is prevalent in all the states of India.7. Nakshatra Astrology  Astrology based on nakshatras was more popular in the Vedic period. The future of a person was told according to the Nakshatra in which he was born. There are 27 nakshatras.

8. Angutha Shastra :

 

This knowledge is also prevalent in South India. According to this, by taking the thumb impression and studying the lines on it, it is told what the future of the person will be like.

9. Maritime knowledge : 

This knowledge is also the oldest knowledge of India. Under this, the character and future of the person is told by studying the structure of the entire body including the face, nose and forehead line.

10. Chinese Astrology

 

In Chinese astrology, twelve years are named after animals. This is called ‘animal-named zodiac circle’. These are their twelve zodiac signs, which are known as ‘Varsha’ or ‘related animal-year’.These years are as follows – Rat, Ox, Leopard, Cat, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. The year in which a person is born, his zodiac sign is according to that year and his character, qualities and fate are also decided according to the calculations of that year.

11. Vedic Astrology : According to Vedic Astrology, calculations are done on the basis of zodiac sign, Navagraha, birth sign. Basically the calculations and movements of the constellations are made the basis. According to the belief, the astrology of the Vedas was not for predicting a person’s future, but for astronomical calculations and dividing time.

12. Tarot Card :

 

Tarot card has cards like playing cards. Whenever a person goes to a Tarot card expert to know his future or fate, the expert takes out a card and tells his future written on it.This can be in the same way as the future is known by taking out cards from the caged parrot. It is also like there is a machine installed at a bus stop or railway station in which you insert a one rupee coin and know your future. There is a computer in any fair or jatra which tells your future.Tarot experts tell a person’s character and future on the basis of psychology. Now it is difficult to say how much truth there is in this.Apart from this, there are many astrological concepts like Maya, Hellenistic, Celtic, Persian or Islamic, Babylonian etc. Every country has its own astrological beliefs and different predictions.
